Titebond II Premium (4 oz., 8 oz., 16 oz., 32 oz., gallon)
Our #1 selling formula—ideal for PROs and DIYers.
Offering superior strength and excellent water resistance, Titebond II Premium Wood Glue is the perfect choice for interior and exterior woodworking. This glue provides a quick initial tack, fast speed of set and short clamp time; ideal for repairs around the shop or home. It offers excellent sandability, easy cleanup with water and is FDA-approved for indirect food contact.
Limitations
Not for continuous submersion or for use below the waterline. Not for structural or load bearing applications. Do not use when temperature, glue or materials are below 55°F. Keep from freezing. Keep out of reach of children.
Pro Tips
- When gluing, use masking tape to cover areas (near glue joint) that may be stained later.
- Use of tape helps cleanup and ensures successful staining—glues are not stainable.
- For oily woods, wipe wood with acetone. This removes the oils, ensuring a successful bond.
- For PRO advice on any project, trust Titebond – the professional’s choice.

I personally use Titebond II because:
It has a strong hold after 30 minutes, allowing me to get my projects done faster.
It is water resistant ( For my woodwork this is a must )
It cleans up great
It has a a very fast initial tack time ( as determined by the project).
It is very easy to spread out ( not as tacky as some )
My woodworking has indirect food contact in which the Titebond II is FDA approved for.
Sandability is pretty easy as long as you don't go to heavy on your glue up. More is not better with this glue!
Super fast drying time.
Caution: As others have stated be careful where you store it and what temperatures you store it at because it will freeze,
Overall this is my go to glue for just about all of my woodworking projects. From my daughter's project to using it daily, take it from me this is the best all around glue you can buy,
Yes, I PAID FULL PRICE. This is MY OPINION about this product. I am not affiliated with anyone but me. I’m AMZ Prime and I hope I helped you come to an easier decision.
This may be a little small for some projects but it is a good sized bottle. And I have when planning to go on a major binge of work; bought a gallon and refilled this size container as needed.
It will get 'crusted over' with time and need replacing now and again, but I can easily pour three gallons through one of these before I decide on 'replace the squeezy bottle'.
That being said, Titebond II is a glue I turn to for a lot of things. I have used it for craft as well as wood; especially in making padded upholstered display panels. (smear onto plywood, lay 1/2 to 1" closed cell foam over it, put another piece of luan and a few carefully spaced concrete blocks to dry overnight...) It will adhere the foam to the backer board, to then be covered. I have also glued upholstery fabrics to the top of said foam with it, leave about 4" unglued of the foam around the edge, then tuck fabric into place, glue, recover and reweight for the night; and it will turn out well. Test bleed, it can bleed through and make stiff.
I go though a lot of Titebond II, the other is the polyurethane 'foaming' glues that are water activated. This is a good size unless you are after a large project, in which case buy a larger jug and use one of this size as a handleable 'field squeeze' bottle. This is a definite go-to glue for me, and in the ways I do wood and other projects, a glue I reach for. Do keep it from freezing!
Of course, this works for inside applications. It also handles the job just as well when used in outside applications. I've had no problems as yet.
On thing I use this glue on is when pruning branches a few inches in diameter, I cut the branch so the cut portion is facing upwards; as we are supposed to do. This allows the sap to settle on the cut portion. But, before that happens, with the glue in hand, I cover the wound with the glue to stave off any possible negatives the tree may suffer.
Good stuff. Give it a try.
